Sierk Schröder (1903-2002) is considered to be the most important and most requested Dutch portrait painter of the twentieth century. Many well-known figures from the different social sectors of society posed for him, amongst other various members of the Dutch Royal family.
The painting is not signed, but a Dutch auction house allocated the painting to him.
